“Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wonderful works.”
- Psalm 105:2

Music holds an important place in our liturgical tradition as Catholics. From Gregorian chant to polyphony to modern church music, Catholics worship with music!

Music at Corpus Christi takes many forms – from traditional church choirs to children’s choir to folk music groups. Each of the churches of Corpus Christi Parish is unique and offers musical traditions in keeping with the culture and vibrancy of its local communities.

Our choristers and musicians come from many backgrounds: we are blessed by many amateurs who gladly share their gifts with us; with parishioners who are professional musicians who share their knowledge, talent and expertise to make our worship vibrant and meaningful; with trained musicians and singers who elevate our musical experience and make worship beautiful. You are welcome to share your love of liturgical music with the rest of us. If you play an instrument or sing and want to join this ministry you are invited to be part of the Corpus Christi music family!

Email your Community Liaison to be put in touch with your church’s Music Ministry Director or Team Leader.

“The singing of the Church comes ultimately out of love. It is the utter depth of love that produces the singing. “Cantare amantis est”, says St. Augustine, singing is a lover’s thing. In so saying, we come again to the trinitarian interpretation of Church music. The Holy Spirit is love, and it is he who produces the singing. He is the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit who draws us into love for Christ and so leads to the Father.”
- Pope Benedict XVI, “The Spirit of the Liturgy”, (SF, CA: Ignatius, 2000), p. 142.
