Palliative care is not just about dying;
it’s about loving God and one another within a compassionate community.

Our faith in Jesus Christ has much to teach us about living well until the end of life. The team organizing the introductory sessions on Horizons of Hope: A Toolkit for Catholic Parishes on Palliative Care want to share this experience with you. The program can help parishioners, caregivers, and family members facing a serious and/or terminal illness to learn more about palliative care. Through each of the four modules, the learning and discussion address themes such as understanding the dying process, discernment and decision-making at the end of life, accompaniment, and the importance of building Compassionate Communities. The program will run in the east (Windsor, Wolfville, Kentville), the centre (Berwick, Middleton, Bridgetown), and the west (Annapolis Royal, Digby, Weymouth) at the dates and times indicated below:
